Yes! You can message the seller directly within the Us After Death platform. We encourage keeping all conversations on the site and ask any questions you have about the listing to ensure clarity and security.
For Buyers: How is payment handled and kept secure?
All payments on Us After Death are placed into escrow until both the buyer and seller have signed the notarized transfer/ownership documents. Once the documents are complete, the payment is securely released to the seller. Do not pay for anything outside the Us After Death platform, as we cannot secure your payment or process refunds outside the site—this is very important for your protection.
For Buyers: What happens after I submit a purchase request?
Once you submit a purchase request, your payment is placed in escrow. You will receive an email with a link to complete your Buyer Pre-Notarization Form, which gathers the necessary information so we can schedule your notary meeting and finalize the new ownership transfer documents.

You don’t need to schedule the notary yourself. Us After Death will send you an email with instructions to meet with a notary. Notaries are available 24/7 for your convenience, and they will have all the necessary documents ready for you to sign.

Yes! When you purchase a gift card, you can choose to email it directly to the recipient or save the code to send at a later date—making it easy to give the gift of planning ahead.

Once ownership is finalized, you will receive notarized copies of the Deed of Ownership or Agreement of Ownership, which you can present to the location to confirm your ownership. The facility will also automatically receive a copy via email once the documents have been notarized and signed.

You can message potential buyers directly within the Us After Death platform. For security and transparency, we encourage keeping all conversations on the site. Be sure to respond to questions within one day to keep buyers engaged. You’ll also receive an email notification each time a new message is sent to you.
For Seller: Is there a fee to list or sell an item?
It’s completely free to list on Us After Death for as long as you need. Once you sell an item, there is a $150 fee for memorial spaces sold under $1,000, and a 15% fee for memorial spaces sold at $1,000 or more.
For Seller: How do I finalize the sale after the buyer and I agree on price?
Once you and the buyer agree on a price, the payment is placed into escrow. You and the buyer will then meet with a notary to sign the ownership transfer documents, ensuring the transaction is secure and official.

One business day after both you and the buyer have signed the notarized transfer agreement, your payment will be sent directly to your Stripe account.
